Encased in jaded irony

From data in 2023; 77% of Millenials play video games. I never identified with my generation growing up, but as the wheel of time keeps turning, it becomes obvious how important time is. I was an outcast, seemingly shut out from society at large, yet I was just a part of almost 60 million other people who thought they were outcasts too. My opinions, sense of humor, and life experiences are the same as hundreds of thousands of people who did and thought the same things.

We aren’t special snowflakes, so why bother trying to make or contribute anything to the world? If everyone has already said anything I could say in a million other ways on a million other platforms, why try to add anything? That’s what stopped me from trying to before at least, but the simple truth is I just want to. I’ll throw my voice into the void with all the self awareness of how pointless that is, because I might be wrong. Yet another blog from someone in their 30s, discussing a form of entertainment that’s declining and shifting faster than anyone can manage. In this now archaic type of documentation, I’ll throw my thoughts into the pile of relics littering the Internet.
